Terms of service

The agreement between your market and MLJ, SASU for the use of StallDeck. Written to be read once, in plain language. Last updated: March 2, 2026.

1. Acceptance

These terms form the agreement between MLJ, SASU, the publisher of StallDeck, and the market, association or organization that subscribes to the service. By creating a StallDeck account, by using the board, or by paying an invoice for a plan, you accept these terms on behalf of the organization you represent. If you are not authorized to bind that organization, do not accept them. The person who accepts confirms they hold that authority.

2. The service

StallDeck is a web application for operating a farmers market. It provides a stall map that you draw for your own site, vendor applications with document storage and expiration alerts, season holds and standby lists, category caps, a fee ledger covering season invoices, day rates and percentage of sales reporting, market day check in with a no show log, a public vendor listing page and printable gate signage, and season reports for boards, cities and funders. The service is delivered through a browser and requires an internet connection. Features are described on the home page and are updated as the product develops.

3. Accounts and eligibility

You must be at least eighteen years old and acting for a market, an association or a local authority that operates one. You are responsible for the accuracy of the account details you give us, for keeping login credentials confidential, and for the actions taken by every person you invite to your board. Tell us promptly if you believe an account has been used without authorization. We may suspend an account where we have a reasonable belief that credentials have been compromised.

4. Acceptable use

Use the service for operating your market. Do not attempt to breach or test the security of the platform, do not scrape or bulk extract data belonging to other markets, do not resell access to the board, and do not upload material that is unlawful, defamatory or infringes someone else's rights. Vendor documents you store must be documents you are entitled to hold in the ordinary course of running your market. We may suspend an account that breaches this section, and in serious cases we may terminate it, with written notice explaining why.

5. Subscription and billing

Three plans are offered. Single Market is $39 per month and covers one market location with up to 60 stalls. Market Season is $89 per month and covers up to three locations and 250 stalls in total. Association is $189 per month and carries no limit on markets or stalls within one association. All prices are stated in United States dollars, exclusive of any sales tax or VAT that may apply to your organization, and are billed monthly in advance from the date the subscription starts.

There is no setup fee and no minimum term. Prices may change with at least thirty days written notice sent to the billing contact on the account, and a price change never applies to a month you have already paid for. If you exceed a plan limit, we contact you and move you to the next plan from the start of the following month.

6. Cancellation and pausing

You may cancel at any time from the account screen. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the month you have already paid for, and the board then becomes read only so you can still export your records. We do not refund part months, and we do not require a notice period, a phone call or a retention conversation. Seasonal markets may pause a subscription instead of cancelling: a paused account is not billed, retains all records, and can be reactivated in one action. We may terminate an account for non payment after two written reminders, or immediately for a serious breach of section 4.

7. Your data

Your market owns the data it puts into StallDeck: the site plan, the vendor roster, uploaded documents, the fee ledger and the attendance history. We hold it as your processor and use it only to provide the service and to support you. You can export any table as a spreadsheet or CSV file at any time. On termination, your export remains available for thirty days, after which we delete your data from the live system, with backup copies expiring on their normal rolling cycle. Handling of personal data is described in the privacy policy.

8. Service availability

We target 99.9 percent monthly availability and we treat market mornings as protected time: no planned maintenance runs between Thursday evening and Sunday evening United States time. Planned work outside that window is announced at least forty eight hours in advance by email. Unplanned interruptions do happen, and when they do we publish what went wrong and what we changed. Availability targets are a commitment of effort and are not a financial guarantee.

9. Warranty disclaimer

The service is provided as it stands. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error free or fit for a purpose you have not described to us. StallDeck helps you record stall assignments, fees, documents and attendance, but it does not verify the validity of a vendor license, it does not perform food safety inspection, and it does not replace your own compliance obligations towards your city, your county or your state department of agriculture. You remain responsible for the decisions you take with the information the board shows you.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability under this agreement for any twelve month period is limited to the subscription fees you paid us in that period. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost vendor revenue, lost grant funding, loss of goodwill or the cost of alternative arrangements on a market day. Nothing in this section limits liability for fraud, for gross negligence, or for any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify MLJ, SASU against third party claims arising from content you upload to the board, from your use of the service in breach of these terms, or from a dispute between your market and one of its vendors. We will tell you promptly about any such claim and will not settle it without consulting you.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms to reflect a change in the service or in the law. Material changes are announced at least thirty days before they take effect, by email to the account contact and by a new date at the top of this page. If you do not accept a change, you may cancel before it takes effect and we will refund any unused whole month you have paid for.

13. Governing law and jurisdiction

This agreement is governed by French law. Any dispute that cannot be settled amicably falls within the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Paris, France. Where mandatory consumer or public body rules in your own jurisdiction apply, they are not affected by this clause.

14. Contact

Questions about these terms, about an invoice or about an account go to jimenezjulien42@gmail.com. Postal and registration details for the publisher are on the legal notice page, and the person who answers is Jimenez Julien.
